Renowned for her style and grace, Maureen’s background is the combination of her achievement of excellence in marketing and sales, specifically in the telecommunication field as one of AT&T’s most accomplished sales people, and the culinary world, as a professionally trained Chef. After arriving on Nantucket in the mid 1990’s, Maureen realized success as a Chef and later as a manager for some of Nantucket’s finest restaurants. It is the marriage of both worlds that has led her to her love of event production.
Satisfying her entrepreneurial spirit, in 2003, Maureen launched Nantucket Island Events. Her dream was to combine her keen sense of business management with her love of hospitality to create a company that would assist her clients in hosting the most fabulous of events while feeling relaxed and confident that all aspects would run flawlessly. Since 2003 Nantucket Island Events has grown and flourished as Nantucket’s premier event Production Company. Clients have included Presidents, Senators, CEO’s, Hollywood’s famous and locals alike.
Maureen excels at maintaining a sense of calm and control leading up to and throughout the planning and production of her client’s events. She is known for making her clients and their guests feel welcome and at ease in any situation.
Maureen feels strongly about her personal, professional and philanthropic obligations and feels blessed that the success of NIE allows her to be able to give back to her adoptive community. Nantucket Island Events has the honor to be the recurring producer for The Boys and Girls Club Summer Groove, PASCON, and Access Nantucket’s annual fundraising efforts, just to name a few.
When not working Maureen enjoys traveling, catching up with friends and family, and exposing her numerous nieces and nephews to unique life experiences. Maureen also contributes her free time to The First Tee program of Santa Barbara Ca., a sponsor for The Pan Mass Challenge and has spent many years as a Catechist for the first grade at St. Mary’s of the Isle on Nantucket.
